Haus frontman and lyricist Ashley Mulimba has never been one to shy away from tricky topics in his songwriting. Last year, the band released a string of politically-charged singles that blended elements of math-rock with a clever pop sensibility, earning them well-deserved attention from the mainstream media. Having been predictably quiet over the Christmas period, the London-based five piece are making their return to form with new cut ‘Shameless’. Once again Mulimba acts as a mouthpiece for his generation, detailing his struggles with anxiety and depression, while a cool groove and slick electronics propel elevate the song’s heavy lyrical content.
