“… songs seem to reveal new pockets of intense emotion every time you listen” – NOISEY
Alpines released the video to their new single, ‘Out Of View’ last week. The track is a bassy saw wave before a breakbeat style rhythm that descends quickly, accompanied by Pockson’s deeply felt vocal. Alpines once again reaffirm their creative vision by directing and filming the entire video themselves. Contrasting their sleek, urban style with the natural environments of Richmond Park alongside flor and high rise backdrops across South West London in the video – Alpines encapsulate the sound and concept of the album as a whole – seeking the softness in our modern-day world.
Alpines describe the process: “We filmed this video ourselves on iPhone over the course of a year. We filmed hours upon hours of flowers in bloom across different seasons and shot each other in various landscapes, both urban and natural. We wanted to create a juxtaposition of mother nature and the manmade and make a video that really captured how we were feeling about the world right now.”
Alpines play Rich Mix in London on the 15 of November. Tickets from: www.alpinesmusic.com
